FBC of Meridian Fall Hayride

We have had a long but fun weekend. We started it off with Logan's 6 month well baby visit. he is 20 pounds 12 ounces and 27 1/2 inches long. He didn't do so well with his shots this time and we fought a 103.3 fever all night Thursday night. He finally started feeling better mid friday. Saturday we went over to Mimi and Pop's house so show off our halloween costumes and to meet up with Molly and Wes to go to the First Baptist Church of Meridian's hayride. Mackenlee had a blast this year playing all the games, jumping in the big jumper, sliding down the HUGE slide, riding on the hayride and rolling down the big hill. Mackenlee dressed as Princess Jasmine from Alladin and although Logan didn't go to the hayride, he was dressed as a pony.

Saturday fun

Today we went to the park and grilled hotdogs and had great time. After eating lunch, we played with the football and Mackenlee learned several important things about the game. Like, how to throw a football, catch a football, kick a football and do the inzone dance! That was the funniest part and I wish I had my video camera with me when she was doing that. We had a great day playing in the cooler weather on a beautiful day!

paintin' pumpkins!

Last night we went outside and gave our children some paint and let them loose to paint their pumpkins. Last year, we carved Dora into Mackenlee's pumpkin and she was sooo interested and wanted to help so bad but with us being responsible parents and all, we didn't give a knife. This year, we thought she would like to paint her pumpkin and we were right. Logan even enjoyed it a little. Brian painted most of Logan's but he did a little bit of finger painting. Both the kids had a great time being outside. Logan especially enjoyed petting our neighbors cat, Coors, who came to watch all the artwork. You can see him behind Mackenlee in the top picture. Today, I dressed the kids in their halloween costumes and let them go outside to sit with their pumpkins. Mackenlee is going to be princess Jasmine this year and Logan is going to be a pony. I think they look adorable in their costumes! I tried to get a good one of the 2 of them together but I could not get Logan to look up from his pumpkin or the grass! ha!

Happy Fall Y'all!!!

This morning, we woke up early and all piled in the car to drive to Chunky, MS to the Lazy Acres pumpkin patch. Mackenlee has been so excited all week about going and she just couldn't stand the anticipation of searching for that perfect pumpkin yesterday. To make today even better, the outfit that I had been waiting on for ove 2 months finally came and Logan actually got to match his big sister! I was so thrilled because this was the reason for purchasing the outfits and I am glad that it finally came! As I was saying, we woke up early, drove to meridian and met everyone at Chick-Fil-A for breakfast and then we all headed out to the pumpkin patch. We got there shortly after they opened and stayed about 2 hours and had a blast the entire time we were there. All seven cousins came and I can't believe that we actually got a decent picture of them all TOGETHER! That is really difficult when you have 7 kids and the oldest just turned 3 last week! We got to watch the pigs race and believe it or not, they learned to race in 2 days using Oreo cookies. We also found out that the pigs don't particularly care too much for the Dollar Store brand of Oreos. Apparently, the pigs are acting like hollywood stars and expect nothing but the best! haha! We also visited the petting zoo where we looked at bunny rabbits, a turkey, baby ponies, a calf and some goats! At the end of the day, we came home with 2 pumpkins. Mackenlee picked out hers and helped Logan pick out his. We all had a great time and I can't wait to go again next year. I am hoping that this will become a sort of a tradition for us! Mackenlee and Logan with pumpkins and not to excited about it! John Taylor got a pumpkin! My 2 again with Logan not happy The best picture I got my two babies!
Wes just walked over to the crow and turned around for a picture! He must know what to do All the kids gathered together. I can't believe this picture actually came out! Logan and Mackenlee sitting on the hay bales. Logan wasn't happy! The big girls watching the pig races. They raced for Oreos! admiring the pigs after the race

Flashback Friday!!

With Fall being here and us going to the pumpkin patch tomorrow, I thought that I would share pictures from the pumpkin patch last year. We traveled to Lazy Acres Pumpkin Patch and got to play with animals, pick pumpkins, ride a hay ride and watch pigs race! As you can see below, Mackenlee was a little thing, not even 2 years old yet. Logan wasn't quite with us in the world yet, but he was there in spirit! The cousins have grown up and we have added 2 more babies since then. Wes wasn't able to come with us last year but this year everyone will be there! I can't wait to see how tall Mackenlee is up against the "How Tall This Fall?" sign.

Tonight, Logan and Mackenlee both got in our big jacuzzi tub for bathtime. Logan loved being a big boy and sitting in his seat in the tub. As you can see, he loved splashing and playing with the water. He loved it so much that the top picture was the only time I was able to get him to look up at me! He really loved the water! Of course, when he saw Mackenlee had buckets and toys he wanted those too. Mackenlee did spare a toy or 2 for him but all the farm animal toys were hers. He was the first to get bathed and taken out of the tub and boy was he MAD when he realized he wasn't going to get back in and Mackenlee was still in the tub. He screamed and screamed until he saw that Mackenlee was out. It was quite funny. I haven't seen him act to jealous over his sister until tonight! At the very bottom is a video of them playing together in the tub.
