I had promised Mackenlee that if she took her nap today that after dinner, we would walk down to the little duck pond to feed the ducks. Well, as you can see, she did take her nap and we had a great time feeding the ducks. They gobbled up half a loaf of bread as fast as we could give it to them! They definitely know how to mooch off of little kids. They acted like they haven't been fed in weeks! (Which I am almost positive is NOT the case!) Mackenlee and Logan had a great time. Logan watched from his little Cozy Coup. I wouldn't let him get out because his face is about beak level with some of the ducks and I wasn't sure how aggressive they were. They seemed pretty tame and Logan really loved watching them but that is no suprise since he loves animals so much. He even hollared out "Duc" in excitement when they were coming over toward him. Brian and Daisy went with us on the walk, but Daisy had to stay away because the ducks are not dumb. They recognize a bird dog when they see one...or any dog for that matter!

Mackenlee now has these adorable crocheted hats that she absolutely loves! She wears the pink one all day every day and if I would let her sleep in it, she would! I snapped some pictures of her wearing it this morning. She was very happy to model her new hat and her new dress. I think she is the cutest 3 year old I have ever laid eyes on. Don't you agree?

Me and the kids drove over to Clarko State Park yesterday to try to beat the heat! We had a great time playing on the wonderful splash pad! There were no other kids there to play with but my 2 didn't mind! We are guessing everyone else was in school. After about 2 hours of running and splashing we decided it was time to head home and play with daddy. Of course, they slept all the way home!

We finally closed on our old home on Friday! We were so excited to have finally gotten that burden lifted off of us that we loaded up the car and headed to Birmingham for a quick over night trip. We thought it was perfect timing since this past weekend was Alabama's tax free weekend for clothes and school supplies. So we quickly loaded up the car and got to Birmingham just in time to go eat at Logan's and then check into the hotel and go for a swim. The kids had a great time swimming in the pool Friday night and Saturday morning. I brought my camera with me but I managed to only get it out once and it was specifically to get a picture of Logan's mohawk that he sported all day Saturday. No matter how hard we tried, we couldn't get it to lay down, so we embraced the mohawk and let him wear it all day. At least he looked like he had hair!
Sunday started with a great morning of worship and ended with a great time at the FUMC movie night. We watched Minnisota Cuke and the Search for Noah's Umbrella and ate pizza and had a great time all around. It was a great way to spend mine and Brian's 6th wedding anniversary.
